london south bank university - entrepreneur in residence

Open To Create... founder Anna B. Sexton was the first female creative entrepreneur to join the team of Entrepreneurs in Resident (EinR) in August 2014.

The EinR programme supports the London South Bank University Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute to grow student and graduate entrepreneurs.

We co-designed via face to face meetings with the core Entrepreneurship and Innovation staff team to build on existing idea development, business accelerator and Graduate Enterprise development programmes. "Starting a business whilst studying can be hard. We support LSBU students and graduates to creatively think about their personal and business values and how they can achieve their enterprise goals".

The big vision is to continue to grow the University reputation for excellence and innovation in entrepreneur development through regular workshops and 1-2-1 coaching sessions at the Clarence Centre, providing students and graduates with first-hand access to our expertise.

Feedback from participants on the programme’s impact:

“I am now more confident to pitch myself & my idea, a year ago I couldn't have stood up like this.”

“The regular coaching has supported more than I had expected..”

“I have gone from being a freelancer to having my own studio practice in under a year.”

“I learnt to organise my time, focus and passions to get my business idea off the ground alongside my studies.”
